This is a great idea. This will make gerrymandering a more difficult exercise. Most voters will have a price. Democrat votes in California with some $$$ can swing some red states.

Voter participation will also increase if only to get some sweet cash.

My only concern is that some unqualified DA or sheriffs start turning this into a business.

But for buying a President? Jeff Bezos would have done the right thing in 2016. Unfortunately, he will also have spare cash for a lot of wrong things in Congress and Senate.
