There are two sides of a coin. What the student wants and what the teacher can offer. When pre med students are asked, we are forgetting that these are best students.
At this point, students have figured out how to study regardless of teaching method used. What about the school dropouts who could have completed their formal education if not for the teachers.
I grew up with teachers that have problems speaking. I also had a teacher who recited textbooks.
I have also seen how complex ideas are disseminated in YouTube. At the end of the day, if the teacher is a one trick pony, it is not the student's fault. We sometimes need many teachers or many examples to learn a single concept.
