The worst part is that "Jenny" does not care about the million dollar company.
You think when there are expenses to be cut, she will use that line? If she gets a better offer from a smaller company, she will stay?
To be fair, Jenny is probably one of the "don't bring me problems, bring me solutions" manager. It is easier to blame the victim than to help. I will only respect Jenny if she dares to leave her credit card stuck to the bottom of the note.
I understand the "Don't bring your problem to work" culture. I just think they should offshore those jobs to other people.
