The issue is that some churches (and believers) have decided that their version of the bible is the only acceptable version. If a Trump supporter purchase the $60 version that Trump endorsed, I doubt that they will allow any revision to unpopular phrases.

Even though some modern bibles have footnotes with clarification, I have never heard a sermon referencing them.
