Take free handouts if needed. I have worked in emergecy services and I am tired of hearing the excuse "I did not want to trouble you people." You cannot always save yourself or put out the fire.

I respect sacrifice but as Covid-19 has shown, keeping things to yourself sometimes makes things worse.
