Some managers discovered that they could persuade people to work for free in exchange for promises that they did not need to fulfil when they quit.
At the next place, they talked about the miracle workers at their previous place. Or that they use to work in elite organisation and it was easy to replicate the model. And if they replicated the model, tomorrow the job is also taking a one way trip overseas.
And then there were managers that could nothing except repeat the stories.
