Nobody can brag about having pure blood (Royal or Viking). The common ancestor may not have been a royalty or Viking.

The common European ancestor merely means that while some European descendant can claim Viking blood, they also have to acknowledge that every European is related to them. Even if it was from a 600 year old one night affair.
