Most managers are trained. With business schools, mandatory HR sessions and other management courses. There are also online courses and books.

The problem is that this makes most managers as useful as sport fans instead of sport team managers. I also know how to yell about metrics and fitness level. Or demand mental toughness and endurance. Or just score more points than the other team.

It is even worse when some managers have some experience. Then we keep hearing about their glory days and why the problem is everyone else.

And if I am ever the manager, it is always the ref's fault.
