It is called art appreciation. When it applies to art form people do not get, it often appears irrational. What in the world is Pollock and Picasso doing with paint and canvas? With regards to kids liking Youtube videos made by other kids, they might see it as something that they can aspire to be. Or the dilagoue sounds less cheesy. Or that the script is less formulaic. Or like my nephew who likes an actress and does not care that she plays a villain.
