I think the writers were a little tone-deaf. Seriously, a wealthy businessman who decides to run for office? It came across as funny as Bloomberg or Schultz trying to run for President. The jokes sounded like first-world problem memes. At a time when many viewers do not feel they are living in a first-world country. In the meantime, I will go back to rooting for an immoral Eleanor Shellstrop.
