I think that the fallacy that there is a one-size- fits-all cure is a major issue. A lot of the answers on the Internet (including Medium) as well from the professional is when the solution does not fit, the reply is to blame the victim.

The problem is that many people (patients included) believe that there is a cookie cutter answer when there isn't. I can understand the perspective of the patient. If I pay X amount of dollars, I hate to be a guinea pig. At the same time, the therapists are also in a dilemma. They can't tell the patient who has yet to trust them that the process will take experimentation and time. Or that the solution might just be a placebo and may not work in future or on anybody else.
