I suffered a similar sticker shock. Then discovered that the pricing of McDonald differed from location to location. (I know about tourist traps and downtown but I was not in any of those places)

And before anyone suggests DIY, I need to point out that I WFH and I am sick of home cooking (Not my own cooking.).

I am waiting for the Japanese solution. A vending machine for inexpensive hot food.
