I see (ancient) books or magazines making a comeback. it is just that the people living in winter might not have so much time to read.

I also suspect that we will not exactly run out of energy but we will be less choosy about how we get our electricity. Bio-waste or nuclear. Maybe less TV and more radio. Or less warmth and more light. Less colour and more black and white (or E-ink).
