I really envy you.

I am going through this process with my mother and her throwing stuff away really eats her up. Especially if they have never been used. It is even worse when it was a present from a family member who has since departed.

That is why I stop buying things for important occasions. In a blink of an eye, decades passed and your future self is stuck with stuff.
