I have been on both sides of the tech war. I had a pager until my carrier threw me off. I also resisted getting a cellphone that could read MMS. But at some point, I also realized that it became a hinderance. You could not share chargers. When people ask you to help them take pictures on smartphone, you had to explain that you needed to know which button to press. Or that a colleague had to help take a picture because your phone could not. At some point, it was just too tiring to explain stuff.
