I apologize if I have caused offense. You have written a thought-provoking article. My disagreement was that if there is a monster, it is best for the human handler to be resigned that the monster will be used then to hope that it will never be used. The monster should not be used indiscriminately. Your reply shows that you are also in agreement. My point about responsibility was also not direct at you or the article but at those people who have deployed monsters and then chose to deny responsibility. I apologize if my venting about past experiences caused offense. Full Disclosure: I have nothing against the police and they were used solely as an analogy. :)
