At least you did not make the mistake of naming the child after months. I know of two ladies who named after months. They were had prickly personality. I suspect that too many people had volunteered them for the month they were named after as a cruel punchline.

The other minefield is choosing the name of a pet. I used to joke about naming the pet after their owner's boss. I did not know how offensive it was until I got pets of my own. Then I realized that even reptiles were not as cold blooded as some of my bosses.
